Thankfulness,
Grace, &
Mercy
Why is Thankfulness to GOD important for us to maintain in our daily lives?

From the very early stages of living we have been taught that the least you can do when someone does
something nice for you is to say "Thank you"!  We have not only learned that from our parents and relatives, but
also from teachers, friends, and other people we have interacted with in our lives!  Think about how strange
you feel when you do something for someone that you did not have to do and they do not even stop to tell you
"Thank you"!  Has that ever happened to you (no matter who it may have been)?  How did you feel?  Did you
think to yourself that since that person could not even be grateful to you that you ought not do anything else for
them because they were not appreciative?  Well if we have felt this way in our lives, imagine how GOD must
feel when we do not stop to thank Him for all that He has done, is doing, and will do in our lives!!  Isn't it a
shame that we call ourselves so intelligent and respectful yet we often (if we are not careful & mindful) forsake
to thank GOD for so many Blessings He has bestowed upon us?  If we just stop to think that even the very
breaths we have taken while reading this page alone were so valuable and priceless that we could never
afford to pay for them!  The number of heart beats we have had just in the few seconds it took to read the
previous sentence could not have been given by any other source in this entire universe!  Oh, and if you fail to
see the true meaningfulness of breathing and heart beats, think about what
will happen if just those 2 functions
cease to exist for merely 1 minute!  Yes, friend, that is just how much we have to thank GOD for!  He has given
to us and allowed us to receive even when we were unaware of His Blessings that we were receiving!  If we
really stop to think about it, GOD has kept us even during the times when we were not even aware that He was
keeping us!  He has protected us even when we put ourselves in the midst of harm and danger!  He has made
so many ways for us when we did not even know how we were going to make it out of situations,
circumstances, and issues!  Just for these few reason (out of sooooooooo many more that could be named)
we ought to be thankful to Him for doing for us when He did not have to do!  Just to be able to interact with life
itself is an immeasurable Blessing!  We should thank GOD every chance we get!  He is not required to give us
anything and, when we stop to think about it, none of us even know of anyone that can make Him do anything
either!  Also, if we can just be truthful for a quick second, if we actually will admit it, none of us are nowhere
near where we should be when it comes to Loving Him, Blessing Him, Praising Him, Worshipping Him, or
even telling others about Him!  However, in spite of all of that, He still Blesses us...even when we forget about
Him!  Thankfulness is so needed in our daily living because it allows GOD to see that we realize that He is the
Source of all our Blessings and that we would not have anything without Him!  GOD yearns for our
thankfulness!  Isn't it time that we start giving it to Him like He wants for us to?  Consider what The Bible says:
